Scheduled Workshops, Retreats and Events 2022Ongoing yoga classes: Fascia Flow Yoga - After 30 years of teaching yoga and studying and working with fascia in my massage practice I have morphed how I teach yoga into a more gentle approach to promote total body health. Based on scientific research of what 'fascia' likes we are using a few basic principles to guide our movement practice that is gentle in nature and focuses on building awareness of the biggest sensory organ of the body. Some benefits of this approach include:
Positive Aging Classes on Zoom: I am recording and posting the videos on Vimeo. People can participate in their class after real-time, rewatch, or just join at their leisure. Fascia Flow focuses on building sensory awareness and correct biomechanical range of motion of the joints. Stability is primary, then flexibility. Good proprioception = good posture = less stress on the body. With good alignment you can then build strength safely. MFS and ELDOA’s are included in every class. ELDOA utilize fascial chain tensions that allow the creation of space inside a joint via precise and global muscle contraction, including one for each vertebrae of the spine to relieve nerve compression. For more info: ELDOA.com. Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. - Fascia Flow – 90 minute class Kaiut Yoga focuses on the three primary girdles of the body: feet, pelvis and shoulders. The focus is not on stretching muscles but safely opening the joints. It’s a very simple, focused practice whereby we actually seek out what isn’t working well and learn to manage sensations in the body so we can potentially change the neuroplasticity of the brain in a positive way. By letting go of doing and effort we can retrain the nervous system to learn to trust and relax instead of triggering old patterns that have limited our mobility. Monday and Wednesday 9:30 a.m. Kaiut Yoga -1 hour class CLASS FEES Unlimited is $160 with access to all videos PAYMENT OPTIONS:
